A self taught photographer, Ed Glazar’s passion for honest documentary work draws him to street scenes and fringe culture.

His focus is not myopic, however. He has worked as a staff newspaper and photo editor. His photographs have been published in newspapers, magazines and purchased as stock. He has also photographed products and taken portraits for client websites.

Glazar’s recent work documenting New York City’s bicycle culture has been projected at a 3rd Ward Gallery event and at Monkeytown. This work has also been featured in the Bicycle Film Festival Joyride art show.

Glazar is the photographer and co-writer of the fourth coming book, BIKE NYC, an insiders guide to biking and bike culture in The City, which will be released in the Spring of 2011 by Skyhorse Publishing.

Clients, publications and past employers include:

New York Times, Marie Claire Russian Edition, Marie Claire Ukraine Edition, Wilkes Creative, Milwaukee Bicycle Co.,COG, Urban Velo, Fixed, Bamboo Bike Studio, Central Park Bike Tours, Woodie Times, Peninsula Daily News, Sequim Gazette.
